Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 10/8/2025

We at www.elliotbgolf.com are working to make our site accessible to people with disabilities.

1. Our Commitment

We believe that golf instruction and information should be accessible to all, regardless of ability or the technology used. We are dedicated to making our digital content accessible to the widest possible audience and are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the internationally recognized standards.

2. Accessibility Standard and Conformance Status

Our goal is for elliotbgolf.com to be Partially Conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

WCAG 2.1 defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to meet Level AA conformance, which means content is:

  • Perceivable: Information and user interface components are presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

  • Operable: User interface components and navigation are operable.

  • Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface are understandable.

  • Robust: Content is robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Partial Conformance means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working on resolving these issues.

3. Measures Taken to Support Accessibility

We have taken the following measures to build and maintain an accessible user experience:

  • Keyboard Navigation: The entire website can be navigated using only a keyboard.

  • Alternative Text: All relevant images on the site are provided with descriptive alternative text (alt-text) to be read by screen readers.

  • Clear Structure: We use semantic HTML, clear heading structures (H1, H2, etc.), and proper list structure to aid in navigation and understanding by screen readers.

  • Color Contrast: We aim to maintain appropriate color contrast ratios between text and background elements to ensure readability for users with low vision.

  • Video Content: All pre-recorded instructional videos will include accurate, synchronized closed captions.

4. Limitations and Known Issues

Despite our efforts to make the entire site accessible, we are aware of some limitations and areas we are currently working to improve. These may include:

  • Third-Party Content: Our website may contain links to or embedded content from third-party sites (e.g., YouTube, scheduling software, payment processors). While we encourage these vendors to maintain accessibility, we cannot control their content.

  • Older Documents: Some older PDF files or downloadable instructional materials may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are in the process of replacing or remediating these documents.

  • Form Errors: We are continuing to improve how error messages are announced for certain interactive forms on the site.

5. Feedback and Contact Information

Your feedback on the accessibility of www.elliotbgolf.com is vital to our continuous improvement.
