Making Golf Athletic

About Me
I was born and raised in San Francisco, and my dad and grandpa introduced me to golf when I was five. I grew up swimming and playing baseball, but once I found my talent in golf, I shifted my focus and began competing at twelve. For the next 13 years, I played competitively, eventually earning the chance to play Division 1 golf at UCSD, where I served as team captain my final two years. Highlights included competing in a national championship, winning Freshman of the Year, being named Athlete of the Week, and earning Academic All-American honors my senior year.

I had plans to turn professional after college, but two wrist injuries and hand arthritis kept me from pursuing that dream. While it was difficult to let go of the PGA Tour, I believe everything happens for a reason. My journey led me to new opportunities: studying biomechanics through TPI, learning about rehab and training methods to manage injuries, focusing on coaching, and ultimately opening my own indoor golf facility, The Sand Trapp.

Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 10 coaches worldwide — including renowned names like Dave Stockton and Chun Hyunjee — and I draw from those experiences to shape my own approach. Today, as a TPI-certified coach, I combine my playing background, coaching influences, and training knowledge to keep golf simple, athletic, and fun.

My goal is to help you unlock your body’s athletic ability and translate that into your golf swing!
